This review could have fixed on any of the new releases under BV's Century label. The 2006 chardonnay and 2005 are also exceptional values at $6 a bottle and worthy expressions of varietal character. The cabernet sauvignon gets the nod because of its pure black-cherry and black-currant flavors, surprisingly full body (for this price) and general vibrancy. It's hard to be a wine snob on a budget, but BV Century can help.
