Robert Aims is the new nursing home administrator at Keswick Multi-Care Center, a long-term care facility in North Baltimore. Aims is responsible for the center's compliance with state and federal regulations. His job also entails guaranteeing Keswick clinical departments will provide residents quality care.

Aims has more than 30 years experience in health care management. Before coming to Baltimore four years ago, Aims lived in upstate New York and managed various health-service programs. He was also an administrator for several long-term care facilities.

Aims is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in health planning and administration and a master's degree in business.

Annamarie Krackow, a lung cancer survivor, was named an American Cancer Patient navigator at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Krackow, who holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Baltimore and a master's degree and doctorate in social psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, recently served as a health care consultant at Good Samaritan.

The American Cancer Society and the hospital have partnered to develop the new patient navigator program in which Krackow will help families, patients and caregivers deal with cancer.

Her role requires that she provide literature that includes information on chemotherapy, radiation treatments and side effects. She will also help patients find support groups, financial assistance and other resources.

Union Memorial Hospital has a new chief of its emergency department. Dr. Cynthia Webb took over the post this month, replacing Dr. William Frohna.

Webb, who is board-certified in emergency medicine, formerly served for four years as the assistant chief of the emergency department.

She earned a medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
