COLLEGE PARK -- Usually the fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team would speak openly and unapologetically about pushing the tempo and getting as many fast-break baskets as possible.

But for today's nationally televised game with No. 3 North Carolina, the words of the day are slow and steady.
