Isicathamiya, the traditional music sung by the group, was inspired by songs that poor South African miners used to sing to keep up their morale while they worked and lived far from their homes and families. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20-$50. The Meyerhoff is at 1212 Cathedral St. Call 410-547-7328 or go to tick etmaster.com.
