Terps top Duke at home for first time in 10 years

COLLEGE PARK -- It's not often that Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese addresses the Comcast Center crowd after a home victory. The Terps win often enough here that it's not really necessary to thank the Maryland faithful.

But, then, it's not every night the Terps beat Duke here, and before last night's convincing 85-70 win, it had been almost 10 years since that feat had been accomplished. So, when the fourth-ranked Terps had finally claimed perhaps their biggest win since capturing the national title two years ago against Duke, Frese felt the need to thank the announced 15,531 for their patience.
