Baltimore

Central

Officer assaulted -- A district officer investigating a drug-related incident in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 7 p.m. yesterday was struck in the head with an unknown object. The officer was not injured, and three men were being interviewed about the incident.

Shooting -- Police were seeking the person who shot a 21-year-old man in the groin about 1:30 a.m. Sunday during a fight that broke out in Prince Hall Masonic Lodge in the 1300 block of Eutaw Place. Police found the victim bleeding from at least one gunshot wound. The man was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was expected to live.

Eastern

Carjacking -- A man, 47, was in his 2000 Chevrolet sedan at a traffic signal in the 2400 block of Homewood Ave. about 3:30 a.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $52, a necklace and a ring and the car, with tags 1AD J49.

Theft -- Someone entered a 1996 Dodge van parked in the 500 block of E. Eager St. on Sunday and stole a backpack, jewelry and other property - all valued at $240.

Robbery -- A woman, 18, reported she was robbed of her jacket, a cell phone and her purse containing $100 about 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Edison Ave. by a man who gave her a ride from Belair Road and Erdman Avenue.

Baltimore County

Franklin

Robbery/arrest -- Two men in their early 20s were at Piney Grove Road and Peltzer Lane in Upperco about 4:30 a.m. Sunday and arguing over a woman when one assaulted the other and stole his cell phone valued at $200. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital for minor injuries and was released. The assailant was arrested at his Glyndon home and was being held.
