Yesterday, Anne Arundel County police recovered a volunteer fire company ambulance stolen Thursday night in Westminster, Maryland State Police said.

An arrest has been made in the case, but Anne Arundel County police were not available last night to identify the suspect.

County police found the 2003 Ford ambulance, belonging to the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company, shortly before 2 p.m. in a wooded area off Shady Lane and North Shore Drive near Pasadena, state police said.

The vehicle had been stolen late Thursday, when it was parked outside Carroll Hospital Center's emergency room entrance. The ambulance crew had taken a patient inside just before 11 p.m., police said. When the driver came out minutes later, the vehicle was missing.
