Judge tosses session suit

Democrats faulted, but GOP-backed remedy `drastic'

A Carroll County Circuit judge yesterday dismissed a Republican-backed lawsuit seeking to invalidate November's special legislative session, but he also sharply censured Democratic leaders for "reprehensible" conduct in "failing to abide by constitutionally mandated procedures."

Irwin Kramer, the attorney for the five Republican lawmakers and a Carroll County businessman who brought the suit, said his clients would likely decide today whether to appeal.
