Old Mill@Glen Burnie

Friday, 6:45 p.m. Outlook: This is one of the county's fiercest rivalries. Old Mill, which entered the week at 8-0, escaped Meade Friday night with a 95-92 overtime win as sophomore Chris Day scored 31 points, eight in overtime. The Gophers, 6-2 at the start of the week, will need scoring from senior Jarvez Pierce and juniors Tyler Rudd and Danny Murphy. THE SUN'S PICK: Glen Burnie

BOYS BASKETBALL No. 14 Arundel@Old Mill

Tuesday, 5 p.m. Outlook: Speed and quickness on both sides should make this a fast-paced, crowd-pleasing game. PG Julian Watson, Jordan Benson, Mandel Brown and Brandon Johnson-Farrell will keep the visiting Wildcats' moving. The Patriots will get their firepower from Brandon Riley, Chris Day, Deonte Puller and Eric Savage to stay in step. It could come down to a couple of turnovers to turn the tide. THE SUN'S PICK: Arundel

Girls basketball No. 4 Arundel vs. No. 11 Southern

Friday, 5 p.m. Outlook: The Schneck twins, Heather and Kim, and the Bulldogs' other seniors have never beaten the Wildcats. The big problem for Southern is Arundel's height advantage and inside game, led by 6-foot-3 junior Simone Egwu and 6-4 sophomore Sherrone Vails. Southern has only one player at 6 feet and will have trouble rebounding and getting second shots. THE SUN'S PICK: Arundel
