Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Eastern

Stolen vehicle -- A green 1997 Chevrolet Lumina with handicap tags 71418 was stolen Friday in the 2200 block of E. Lanvale St.

Southern

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Plum St. through a first-floor rear window during the weekend and stole two miter saws, an air compressor, a drill and a jigsaw - all valued at $825.

Southeastern

Rape -- Police continue to seek a man who forced his way into a woman's car about 4 p.m. on Jan. 1, then ordered her at knifepoint to an alley near a church in the first block of S. Caroline St. When the man attempted to rape the 36-year-old woman, she tried to call police on her cell phone, but the man grabbed it. He forcibly disrobed the woman and raped her. After the attack, the man stole the victim's cell phone and fled the scene on foot. The woman called police and was taken to Mercy Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

Burglary -- Several pieces of gold and diamond jewelry - all valued at $6,000 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 400 block of Joplin St. by someone who entered through a door.

Theft -- A GPS device valued at $450 was stolen Friday from a 2005 BMW parked in the 1500 block of Fleet St. The thief broke the driver's side window.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Burglary -- Video games and accessories - all valued at more than $500 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 1500 block of Seling Ave. by someone who entered through a rear basement door. Police said the intruder left a ski mask behind.

Essex

Robbery -- A teenage male was walking in the 600 block of Franklin Ave. about 10:40 p.m. Friday when he was assaulted by three apparently unarmed youths who robbed him of his cell phone and his wallet - all valued at $130.

Burglary -- Between Dec. 20 and Friday, someone broke into a house in the 11300 block of Pulaski Highway and stole an electric drill, a computer, a DVD, video games and a camcorder - all valued at nearly $3,700.

Franklin

Robbery -- Moments after a 17-year-old boy got off a light rail train at the Owings Mills station in the 5000 block of Painters Mill Road about 5 p.m. Friday, he was assaulted by a gunman who robbed him of $20 and a cell phone. The gunman fled on foot. The victim told police he believed his assailant followed him from a downtown Baltimore light rail station.
