Battle at Sonar

The lowdown -- Witness as DJs, MCs, producers and b-boys battle it out for cash prizes at the event Speakerboxin at Sonar on Saturday. DJ Squirrel Wyde from 92.3Q Jams, Loko from DVC, and the crowd will decide the winners.

The lowdown -- Today, the Ottobar hosts Jucifer, an eclectic duo that tries to defy categorization by incorporating such varying styles as punk, jazz, emo and classical. Local bands Darsombra, Mobula and Gorge will open.

The lowdown -- Watch the premiere of Who's the Mack?, a new documentary on female vs. male views of relationships, dating and sex tomorrow at Creative Alliance. The film, shot in five cities, includes group and person-on-the-street interviews as well as commentaries from a psychologist, an author of books on relationships and a pimp. The film was directed by Baltimoreans Stephen R. McClain, Tony Lloyd and O'Neill McDaniels.
