Alicia Seelaus

River Hill, basketball

The junior forward/guard led the No. 15 Hawks to the championship of the Queen Anne's tournament with 45 points, 30 rebounds, four assists and eight steals over three games. She had 19 points, nine rebounds and four steals in a 65-62 win over Severn and 19 points and 13 rebounds in a 70-43 title victory over Crossland. Seelaus averages 12.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals for the Hawks (9-1). Seelaus, who plays Amateur Athletic Union ball with the Baltimore Charm, also ran on the Hawks' state championship cross country team and plays lacrosse. She has a 4.6 weighted grade point average.

Henry Sims

Mount St. Joseph, basketball

Sims, a 6-foot-11 senior center who is Georgetown-bound, averaged 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the top-ranked Gaels (9-1) to three wins in the Leon Brogden Holiday Classic in Wilmington, N.C. Named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, Sims had 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 48-28 championship-game romp over Frederick Douglass of New York on Saturday. Sims outplayed 7-1 Wake Forest-bound Ty Walker in a semifinal 64-58 overtime win over defending Class 4A state champion New Hanover, N.C. Sims, who was All-Metro last year as a junior, had 17 points and 15 rebounds in dealing New Hanover its first home loss in four years.
