Dr. Deirdre Coll, an associate professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, was named the director of breast imaging at the university's medical center.

Dr. Harold Goll was recently named president of the Maryland Society of Anesthesiologists. He serves as chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where he has worked for nearly 20 years.

The society represents Maryland anesthesiologists and advocates for policy that sustains safety in anesthesia care.

Mary Wagner, Erickson Retirement Communities director of rehabilitation services, was one of 11 people selected to be a member of the National Quality Forum's Steering Committee, a public-private collaborative whose aim is to improve the quality of health care.

Erickson develops and manages 21 retirement communities in the U.S. Wagner was chosen based on her experience and expertise in health care.

Seven men, including WBAL-TV news anchor Stan Stovall, were recently appointed to the board of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. All will serve three-year terms.

Stovall is a daily morning and 5 p.m. anchor for the NBC affiliate.

Other members of the board include Dr. Stanley Fiedler, an orthopedic surgeon and real estate developer; Eric Levitt, managing partner with Regional Investments LLC and co-owner of Regional Homes; Barry Levin, a partner at the law firm of Saul Ewing LLP; Donald McDaniel Jr., president and CEO of Sage Growth Partners LLC and a faculty member at the Carey Business School at the Johns Hopkins University; Robert Post, president and CEO of TravelCLICK Inc.; Philip Sachs, senior vice president at Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Capital Markets Inc.

Sinai Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, serves as a regional health care organization. Its other facilities include, but are not limited to, Northwest Hospital Center and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital.

Six new members were named to the 25-person Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors. The foundation is the fundraising arm of GBMC HealthCare.

The new members are Mary Ellen Barthelme, vice president of Bay National Bank; Dr. Jennifer Bunkley, a psychologist; Marilyn Davis, wife of GBMC neurosurgeon Reginald Davis; Dr. Timothy Doran, pediatrics chairman at GBMC; Edwin "Ted" R. Mowbray III, senior vice president of Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc.; and Dr. Joan Wang , a gynecologist and staff member at GBMC.
