Baltimore

Southern

Officer assaulted/arrest -- Two district officers were attempting to control a domestic situation in a house in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. about 10 p.m. Sunday when a man broke a bottle and threatened to stab one of the officers. The officer nearest the man suffered minor injuries to his right eye, the result of being hit by pieces of glass. The man, Mehrdad Adelzadeh, 39, was subdued, arrested and treated for minor injuries at Harbor Hospital. He was charged with assaulting a police officer.

Central

Theft -- A 3-foot tall bronze statue of the Greek God Mercury valued at $500 was stolen between Dec. 1 and Monday from the Maryland Institute College of Art campus in the 1300 block of Mount Royal Terrace. Anyone having information is urged to call the district police at 410-396-2411 or the school at 410-669-9200.

Northern

Assault -- A warrant has been issued charging a woman, 49, with aggravated assault in the stabbing Saturday night of a man, 56, in the victim's home in the 1000 block of Springfield Ave. During an argument, the victim was struck in the eye and stabbed in the lower left leg. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.

Bank robbery/arrests -- Two men and a woman, all Baltimore City residents, have been arrested and charged with robbing Sovereign Bank in the 200 block of Mount Carmel Road about noon Monday. Charged with armed bank robbery and theft were Raymond Mangan, 27, of the 3600 block of Keystone Ave., Carl Frey, 20, of the 2000 block of Druid Park Drive and Sara Flatter, 30, of the first block of S. Broadway.
