Anne Arundel County Police were searching last night for a man they said fled from police after an attempted burglary in Odenton and subsequently broke into a woman's home and forced her to drive him to Glen Burnie.

The incident began about 10 a.m. in the 400 block of Higgins Drive in Odenton, where police received a report of an attempted burglary, according to a news release from the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Police stopped a car that matched the description of that driven by the burglars. Two people abandoned the car and fled on foot. One suspect was apprehended.

About 2 p.m., a woman entered a business in the 100 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie and said a man broke into her home in Millersville and forced her to drive him to Glen Burnie in her vehicle, police said. She told police that the man released her and that he fled on foot. She was not injured.

Police said they identified the second suspect, who police believe was involved in both of the incidents, as Scott Corey Coale, 24. An address was not provided.

Police said Coale was last seen in Glen Burnie and wearing a dark jacket, dark shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents can call the Police Department at 410-222-8610.
