Company wins three remodeling awards

The Homebuilders Association of Maryland Remodeler's Council has awarded Lynch Construction Inc. of Harford County three awards for home and business remodeling and renovations.

The 49-year-old company earned the 2007 Award of Excellence for Whole House Alteration with Addition, 2007 Award of Excellence for Commercial Remodeling and 2007 Silver Merit Award for Whole House Renovations with Kitchen Remodeling.

The projects are located in Bel Air, Churchville and Abingdon.

The awards recognize remodelers for design, craftsmanship and contribution to the industry.

The third-generation family-owned business is led by Donald Lynch Jr., who holds the Remodeler's Council Certified Master Remodeler designation.

Truck auction aids riding program

Ramsey Ford is raffling off a 2008 Ford F350 King Ranch Super Duty Lariat to benefit the Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Program.

Only 1,000 tickets at $100 each will be sold.

Freedom Hills is a nonprofit that provides horseback riding to the physically, mentally and emotionally challenged.

Internet radio station plays holiday shows

Herb FM radio station is offering classic Christmas holiday shows and music through Dec. 26.

The Bel Air-based Internet radio station, at www.live365.com, keyword "Herb Fm," is playing such holiday shows as Duffy Tavern, Jack Benny, My Favorite Husband, Red Skelton and Mel Blanc.
