Soprano sings

The lowdown -- Hyunah Yu, one of the most gifted singers to emerge from the Peabody Institute in recent years, returns to the school as soprano soloist in the ravishing Les Illuminations by Benjamin Britten. This work, inspired by the elusive, ever-fascinating poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, is tailor-made to the vocalist's sweet tone and communicative phrasing. Also on this Peabody Symphony Orchestra program, conducted by Hajime Teri Murai, will be Mozart's Prague Symphony and Paul Hindemith's Mathis der Mahler.

If you go -- The concert is at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Peabody Institute, 17 E. Mount Vernon Place. Tickets are $5-$15. Call 410-659-8100, ext. 2.
