Sullivan leads South River past Severn

Katherine Sullivan scored 13 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter as No. 11 South River held on to beat Severn, 52-50, in Anne Arundel County.

Severn (3-2) led much of the game before the Seahawks (1-0) picked up on defense and forced turnovers to take the lead early in the fourth quarter after trailing by 15 points earlier.

Jaclyn Nucci had 16 points for the Seahawks, and Sullivan, a 6-foot forward-center, also grabbed 10 rebounds. Aura Payne led the Admirals with 18 points.

No. 5 Atholton 64, Wilde Lake 36 -- Ellie Snyder scored 25 points to lead the host Raiders (3-0) to victory in a Howard County league game.

No. 10 Fallston 59, Milford Mill 44 -- Jess Harlee scored 17 points and Lindsay Howard added 10 as the Cougars (3-0) won on the road. Jasmine Gabriele had 18 points and Devonne Richardson added 16 for the Millers.

No. 14 Mount Hebron 66, Marriotts Ridge 34 -- Thirteen players scored for the visiting Vikings (2-0), led by Deanna Dydynski's 15 points, in a Howard County league matchup.

No. 12 River Hill 51, Centennial 41 -- The Hawks (1-1) rebounded from Friday's season-opening loss to Mount Hebron by beating the Eagles. Alicia Seelaus scored 12 points and Vanessa Collier contributed 10. Molly Speicher scored 14 for visiting Centennial.

Catonsville 59, Pikesville 28 -- Jessica Nonn scored 32 points to lead the host Comets to victory in a Baltimore County contest.
