Bon Secours center hosts brunch with Santa on Saturday

Bon Secours Spiritual Center, 1525 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, will offer a "Brunch with Santa" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

On the menus are French toast sticks, scrambled eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, bacon and sausage, and a salad bar with fresh fruit.

The cost is $10.95; $8.95 for children, and includes a picture with Santa. Donations of canned goods are requested; those who bring a donation will receive a $1 discount. Information or reservations: 410-442-1320.

Church to present Christmas musical

Chapelgate Presbyterian Church, 2600 Marriottsville Road, will present A Christmas Carol: The Musical at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 5 p.m. Dec. 16.

Travel funds -- Mark and Patty Carroll, who own Town and Country Auto Repair in Dayton and are alumni of Glenelg High School, are offering Good Neighbor Savings Cards that include discount coupons for two oil changes and other services. The cards are being sold by Glenelg students for $20. The proceeds will help the school's marching unit and drill team to attend out-of-state competitions.

Dance revue -- The River Hill High School Dance Ensemble will present Winter Dance in Concert: A Musical Revue on Broadway at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the school. Dancers will perform a nonstop second act to tunes from classic Broadway musicals. Featured in the production will be seniors Samantha Gershman, Mike Ferguson, Elana Metzman, Amy Maartz, Kelly Ripple, Megan Murphy, Kelsey Tyson and Chelsea Dionne, along with student dance companies and students from the school's beginners, intermediate and advanced dance classes. 410-313-7120.

Incentive program -- Glenwood Community Center, 2400 Route 97, Cooksville, is sponsoring a Fitness Passholder Incentive Program through the end of the year. A weekly prize will be given as an incentive to a pass holder chosen from among those who used the center that week. A grand prize winner will receive a 50-visit pass. 410-313-4840.

Road work -- The State Highway Administration is working to relieve congestion and improve safety along Route 32 at Burntwoods Road by constructing a $30 million interchange. The interchange will remove two traffic signals at Burntwoods and Ten Oaks roads and relocate several private driveways and local roads that intersect Route 32. The Route 32/Burntwoods Road intersection will be relocated, and a roundabout, ramps, a bridge and an access point will be added. Lane closings are planned along Route 32 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. Lanes might be closed along Ten Oaks, Pfefferkorn and Burntwoods roads from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Completion is expected by fall of 2009. 301-624-8100 or www. mary landroads.com.
