An article in yesterday's editions incorrectly reported how the Howard County Circuit Court designates three-hour time blocks when scheduling hearings. The blocks of time are used for domestic relations hearings, not for criminal hearings.

An article in Sunday's editions about a program sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University for middle school girls misstated the school attended by Monika Borkovic. She attends Dumbarton Middle School in Baltimore County.

A chart in Sunday's Real Estate section listed the incorrect mortgage payment for a 15-year loan of $200,000 at 5.83 percent. The correct amount is $1,669.40.

In Saturday's sports section, the name of the midshipman who wore the costume of Naval Academy mascot Bill the Goat during the 1984-1985 season was misspelled. His name is Capt. Conrad Chun.

Friday's column by Jay Hancock stated incorrectly that investment company Stifel Nicolaus had a "buy" rating on Provident Bankshares stock. Stifel has rated Provident a "hold" since Oct. 18.
