The lowdown -- Few comics make food as funny as Jim Gaffigan. Bacon bits, ice - nothing is out of his comedic reach. And if you've seen it once, you'll never forget his Hot Pocket routine. Demand has never been higher for Gaffigan, either. He will perform five shows in three days at the Warner Theatre in Washington, starting tonight. Two are sold out.

Justin Trawick

The lowdown -- Arlington, Va.-based singer/songwriter Justin Trawick calls his music acoustic folk rock, but he also incorporates elements of genres such as hip-hop. Each live show is different, and most feature a rotating cast of musicians. Trawick opens for Blue Miracle at the 8x10 on Saturday.

M.I.A. found

The lowdown -- Rising club music star M.I.A. performs a full set at Sonar's Taxlo dance party tomorrow. M.I.A.'s choppy, body-moving beats are intriguing. Her live performances are visually hypnotic and not to be missed.
