Class 3A East regional final: No. 15 Wilde Lake @ North Harford

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- Wilde Lake (9-2) piled up 359 yards of offense in its 17-0 win over Howard, avenging a 21-14 regular-season loss by limiting the Lions to 137 yards. The Wildecats' backfield is deep and talented, with RBs Jerrell Epps, Ashton Hayes and Vaughn Stamper all gaining over 1,000 yards, and junior QB Danny March a threat to run and pass. The chore on defense will be trying to contain North Harford QB Dan Griffin, who accounted for 191 yards of offense (129 rushing and 62 passing) with two running touchdowns in the Hawks' 36-13 win over Atholton in Friday's semifinal.

Class 2A South regional final: Patuxent @ No. 1 River Hill

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- The No. 1 Hawks (11-0) face their toughest test to date against 11-0 Patuxent from Calvert County, with the Class 2A South regional title on the line. Both teams have posted impressive numbers to stay undefeated. River Hill has outscored its 11 opponents, 474-14, after defeating McDonough of Charles County, 34-0, in the semifinals for the team's ninth shutout. Senior RB-LB Zach Martin rushed for 134 yards and a score and finished with 12 tackles, while junior RB Michael Campanaro had 175 all-purpose yards and scored his 28th touchdown when he caught a 30-yard pass from QB Luke Hostetler. The Panthers, winners of the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference, also have a fine one-two punch in QB C. J. Hopson and RB Ra'Joun Nelson. In their 46-16 semifinal win over Douglass of Prince George's County, Hopson threw for 123 yards and a touchdown and ran for 67 yards and two scores, with Nelson accounting for 123 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
