Michael E. Linardi, 71

Michael Eugene Linardi, a retired insurance company manager and outdoorsman, died of lung cancer Thursday at Carroll Hospital Center. He was 71.

Mr. Linardi was born in Baltimore and raised in Gardenville. He was a 1953 graduate of Towson Catholic High School. He was drafted into the Army and served two years until being discharged with the rank of corporal in 1959.

The former Westminster resident, who had lived in Littlestown, Pa., since 2000, was a manager with the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co. in Woodlawn for 30 years, until retiring in 1994

In addition to hunting and trap shooting, Mr. Linardi enjoyed driving his restored red 1965 Ford Thunderbird.

His wife of 21 years, the former Dorothy "Dot" Morrow, died in May.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover, Pa.

A memorial Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Belair Road and Willow Avenue, Overlea.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Anne Linardi of Overlea and Angela Beltram of Ellicott City; and many nieces and nephews.
