Marquise Kately led all scorers with 21 points as Morgan State earned its second victory of the season, 77-53, over Saint Francis in Loretto, Pa.

The junior transfer from California shot 10-for-19 from the field in his third game for the Bears, who improved to 2-1 this season under coach Todd Bozeman.

The Bears took an 11-point halftime lead and never looked back, outscoring the Red Flash 40-27 in the second half to cement the win. The team shot 50 percent from the field and made 11 of 12 free throws.

Senior guard Jamar Smith added 19 points for Morgan, which has the weekend off before taking on American at Hill Field House on Tuesday.

Robert Morris 93, Navy 77 -- A.J. Jackson had 22 points and 10 rebounds and became the 10th player in Robert Morris history to record more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in his career as the Colonials beat the Midshipmen in Annapolis. Jeremy Chappell added 20 points and nine rebounds for Robert Morris (2-0), which used a 12-0 run early in the second half to pull away from Navy (1-2). Greg Sprink led the Mids with 19 points.

Navy 71, Howard 50 -- A first half-closing 24-2 run sparked the Midshipmen (1-3) to a victory over the visiting Bison (0-4). Cassie Consedine scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her third double double in four games this season. Consedine was one of four Mids to score in double figures.

La Salle 51, Loyola 50 -- Vika Sholokhova scored a team-high 16 points for the visiting Greyhounds but missed a shot at the buzzer that would have won the game as Loyola (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season, to the Explorers (1-1). With the Greyhounds up by one, La Salle's Jamie Walsh scored the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds left in what was a see-saw battle throughout the second half. The lead changed hands several times in the last eight minutes before Sholokhova missed as time expired.
