Dr. Jane Kapustin has been named assistant dean for master's studies at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has served on the school's faculty for seven years as an assistant professor and director of the Adult Nurse Practitioner program. Kapustin holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Six researchers with the Johns Hopkins University have been elected fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Jef Boeke, Ph.D., Sc.D.; Paul D. Feldman, Ph.D.; Nirbhay Kumar, Ph.D.; Thomas C. Quinn, M.D.; Theresa A.B. Shapiro, M.D., Ph.D.; and David Valle, M.D. are among 471 new fellows around the world. Election as a fellow honors their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
