Columbia festival names Stoltzfus

Josh Stoltzfus has been appointed program coordinator for Columbia Festival of the Arts. He will be responsible for identifying performers for the 2008 festival, scheduled June 13-28.

He was production coordinator for Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Va., responsible for production and logistical details of shows.

Stoltzfus, who lives in Silver Spring, also has worked with the Dr. Cyrus & Myrtle Katzen Arts Center, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Harold & Sylvia Greenberg Theatre, all in Washington.

Joining the festival's board of trustees are Charles E. Schwabe of Howard Bank; Barbara A. Nicklas of General Growth Properties Inc.; Peter R. Greenberg, a student at Glenelg High School; and Laura Wetherald of the county Department of Recreation and Parks.

Karen G. Dixon of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield has been appointed president of the board.

Monroe joins Kirk Halpin law firm

Arianne H. Monroe has joined the law offices of Kirk Halpin & Associates PA in an "of counsel" position.

Monroe, who lives in Columbia, concentrates in commercial real estate law, representing developers, tenants, property managers, lenders, partners and other entities in the industry.

She has served as corporate counsel to national real estate development companies, including the Rouse Co., where she was senior assistant general counsel.
