Years Digital Harbor has had a football program. This year, the Rams advanced to the 1A South playoffs for the first time in their history. They went 8-2 and are the No. 3 seed.

Touchdowns needed by Dunbar junior Tavon Austin going into the playoffs to break the state career record of 87 by Old Mill's Ryan Callahan (2003-05). Austin had four touchdowns in Friday's 52-6 rout of Patterson to run his season total to 29 and his career mark to 82.

Teams with 10-0 records going into the 64-team state football playoffs, including two from Baltimore County, No. 5 Hereford and No. 8 Eastern Tech, and one from the city, No. 2 Dunbar. Two other area teams in No. 1 River Hill of Howard County and Anne Arundel's No. 4 Arundel are also on the list.

Shutouts for McDonogh's MIAA A Conference champion boys soccer team. The No. 1 Eagles, who allowed only five goals, finished 20-1-3.
