Goals scored by Alayna Markwordt in the Glenelg girls soccer team's 6-0 win over Northern-Garrett in Saturday's Class 1A state semifinal. The Gladiators, who won the Class 2A crown last season, will try for their fifth state championship Saturday when they take on Sparrows Point at 5 p.m. at Broadneck.

Consecutive wins for the River Hill boys soccer team in advancing to the Class 2A state championship game. The Hawks (15-4) defeated Liberty, 1-0, in Saturday's state semifinal and will go for the school's seventh state title when they take on Loch Raven in Saturday's title game, set for noon at South River.

Goals scored by the Wilde Lake girls soccer team in four victories, including the Class 3A East regional title game. The Wildecats scored six goals in each of their wins over Bel Air, Aberdeen and North Harford before knocking off then-No. 1 Fallston, 1-0, in the regional title game. Aberdeen scored the only goal allowed in the regionals by the Wildecats, who went on to defeat Catonsville, 2-1, in the state semifinal round.
