Contractor enters rowhouse, finds body

November 09, 2007|By Gus G. Sentementes

A contractor who entered a Northwest Baltimore rowhouse to begin work on renovations yesterday morning came upon two men who had been shot.

One of the victims in the rowhouse in the 2600 block of Oswego Ave. was dead, police said. The other was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Both men had been shot several times in the upper torso, police said.

Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman, said the contractor found the men about 10:15 a.m. and that detectives think the men might have been shot after midnight.

Moses said the building was being renovated and was not vacant. He said there was clothing and furniture in the house, which is in the Park Heights neighborhood.

Moses did not say where in the house the men were found. Their identities were not immediately available.
