Ravens Report

Ravens Gameday

Turn out the lights

After losing their fifth straight game on national television, and their second straight on Monday Night Football, the Ravens might want to ask the NFL to change their next two prime-time matchups - a Monday night game against the New England Patriots on Dec. 3 followed by the Indianapolis Colts on a Sunday night, Dec. 9.

Second-hand smoked

Cornerbacks Corey Ivy and Derrick Martin, not to mention nickel back David Pittman, were torched by Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his receivers. But given the precarious field position they were put in by the offensive blunders, even regular starters Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle might have had problems.

McNair's nightmare

Veteran quarterback Steve McNair probably thought he and the Ravens could not have played any worse than they did in the season-opening defeat to Cincinnati on Monday Night Football. McNair set the tone by fumbling on his team's first possession, threw a subsequent interception and looked like a quarterback who needs an additional three weeks off.
