Glen Burnie teen charged in stabbing

A Glen Burnie teenager has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend in the back, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.

Shemia Ellesse Williams, 19, of the 7700 block of Spencer Road is charged with attacking Keith Edward Crizer, Jr., 28, of the 400 block of Norman Ave. in Glen Burnie while he was visiting her about 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

He was treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, and she was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

Severn man, 22, injured in collision

A Severn man was severely injured yesterday when his car rammed into two large landscaping rocks on a Crownsville roadside, Anne Arundel County police said.

Martin Cholewa, 22, of the 1200 block of Somerset Road was driving north on Generals Highway in Crownsville about 12:30 a.m. when he missed the curve at the intersection with Veterans Highway, police said.

He lost control of his Honda sedan, slid off the road and struck a sign and the two rocks, one on each side of the entrance to Robert F. Beal and Sons at 8795 Veterans Highway

The Honda flipped onto its roof. Cholewa was extricated and sent to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was stable and in critical condition.

Armed teens rob, beat Odenton man

A 63-year-old man was held up at gunpoint and beaten outside his Odenton home, Annapolis police said yesterday.

The victim said five to six young men and teenagers approached him in the 2300 block of Brigadier Blvd. in the Seven Oaks community about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Two of them had handguns. The group punched and kicked him in the head, stole his briefcase and fled.

Officers who searched the area arrested Antonio Eric Lashey, 17, of the 8200 block of Stewarton Court in Severn, who was charged as an adult; and a 14-year-old boy from the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive in Severn.

Severn man charged in shooting, robbery

A Severn man was charged with shooting one of two people who were robbed on an Odenton street, Anne Arundel County police said.

The victims, ages 18 and 26, said they were walking along Blue Water Boulevard about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday when two men approached them and demanded their wallets.

The victims struggled with the robbers, and the 26-year-old man was shot twice in the lower body with a handgun.

He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was stable and in serious condition.

Officers who searched the area found Bernard Antonio Ruffin, 20, of the 8200 block Stewarton Court in Severn and charged him with armed robbery, first-degree assault, handgun violations and related charges.

Cabdriver robbed at light rail station

A taxicab driver was robbed by a fare she dropped off at the Nursery Road light rail station in Linthicum, Anne Arundel County police said.

The 41-year-old victim, who works for Sedan Service of Baltimore, said she picked up the man at Baltimore-Washington International-Thurgood Marshall Airport and took him to the station at 6825 Baltimore & Annapolis Blvd. about 4:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The man handed the driver money for the fare. When she began to give him change, he put a gun to her neck and demanded money.

The victim handed the man her cash, and he jumped out and ran across the tracks toward the Pumphrey neighborhood.

He was described as 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 25 to 30 years old, with a thin face and a goatee.
