November already? Yikes! The 11th month brings Maryland the first significant threat of snow. Baltimoreans may remember the 6-inch Veterans Day storm in 1987. The record was 8 inches on the 30th in 1967. Average lows sink below freezing by month's end. The highs slip from 61 to 51 degrees. The records are 86 degrees in 1950 and 12 degrees in 1929. The Leonid meteor shower peaks before dawn on the 18th, and Mars gets brighter, rising earlier to impress late-evening stargazers.
