What's this? At just after 5 on a weekday night, every stool at the Pioneer Pub's vast, U-shaped bar is taken. There's a roar of merriment in the air - on a Tuesday!

Turns out the Pioneer Pub and Restaurant, situated in Parkton along the commuter slog between Baltimore and Pennsylvania, has evolved over the years into a rather convivial pit stop. And after the nine-to-fivers leave, the families shuffle in for meals ranging from lobster tails to chicken tenders.
