Restaurant group chooses Kreuzburg

Paula Kreuzburg has been named interim president by the executive committee of the Restaurant Association of Maryland's board of directors.

An adviser to former President and Chief Executive Officer Marcia S. Harris, who died recently, Kreuzburg has been a member of the association's staff since 1997. She served as chairman of its board of directors in 1993 and 1994 while managing her family's restaurant, Mrs. K's Toll House, in Silver Spring.

A search committee has been formed, and a national search firm will assist the committee in evaluating candidates to fill the position.

Couple installed as Kiwanis leaders

Jesse and Ruby Schneider, who are husband and wife, were installed Oct. 3 as co-presidents of the Kiwanis Club of Columbia, a civic service organization.

Jesse Schneider will also serve as secretary.

Also installed were Stacy Jost, treasurer, and Jim Hurley and Henry Stern, who will serve on the club's board of directors.

Bob Engelbach, lieutenant governor of Kiwanis Division 14, Capital District, installed the new officers.
