Gavidia - Muir

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Muir of Baltimore are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Ashley Fay, to Nestor Antonio Gavidia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Gavidia of Lima, Peru. A nuptial Mass was celebrated by Reverend Brendan Hurley, SJ, on Sunday, July 1, at Saint Ignatius Church, Baltimore. A reception for family and friends was held at the Intercontinental Harbor Court Hotel. The couple was attended by Elizabeth Webber of Chicago, college roommate of the bride and Christopher Muir of Germantown, brother of the bride. Liturgical readers were Margaret McQueen and Katherine Whidden, aunts of the bride and Cynthia McQueen, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Gavidia attended Mount Hebron High School in Ellicott City, graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and served in the Peace Corps from 2003-2005. She and the groom, who is owner of a textile production business in Lima, met while collaborating on several projects in Peru. She is employed by Chemonics International, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm. Mr. Gavidia is currently studying and working at Howard Community College. A celebration of their wedding will take place in Lima, Peru, in January, 2008. The couple resides in Howard County.
