College Park -- Three losses in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season will likely be one too many for a shot at the league championship -- a fact Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen acknowledged this week as his team enters today's 3:30 p.m. game against Clemson on the brink of falling out of contention.

"But you know, it doesn't eliminate you from a bowl, either," Friedgen said,
