Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Northeastern

Shooting -- A man, 19, was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot in the upper body about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Hillen neighborhood. Police responding to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of Northwick Drive learned that the victim had been found in the driver's seat of a Honda sedan that was parked in the 4300 block of Fenwick Ave. No arrest had been made.

Central

Theft -- Someone broke into a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant parked in the 200 block of Holliday St. on Wednesday and stole a cell phone valued at $150.

Theft -- A backpack containing a tape recorder and personal papers was stolen Thursday from a 2001 Hyundai parked in the 1600 block of N. Calvert St.

Theft -- An iPod valued at $200 was removed from a 2004 Honda Accord parked Thursday in the 1300 block of N. Calvert St.

Theft -- An iPod, a cell phone and a global positioning system - all valued at nearly $1,400 - were stolen Wednesday from a 2007 sport utility vehicle parked in the 400 block of N. Howard St.

Southeastern

Assault/arrest -- Two men were arguing inside an art store in the 1700 block of Fleet St. about 8 p.m. Thursday when one of them pulled out a knife and waved it around while threatening to cut the other man. Sergei Zertser, 63, of the first block of S. Patterson Park Ave. was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Theft -- A radio and its mounting bracket - all valued at $80 - were stolen Wednesday from a 2003 Saturn Ion parked in the 200 block of S. Collington Ave.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville

Burglary -- A laptop computer and U.S. and foreign coins were stolen Thursday from the bedroom of a house in the 1600 block of Corbett Road in Monkton by someone who broke a window.

Franklin

Robbery -- A boy, 15, was selling candy for a school project in the 400 block of Chartley Park Drive about 3 p.m. Thursday when he was assaulted by an older male who took $15 from the teenager. Anyone with information is urged to call the precinct at 410-887-6975.

Armed robbery -- Police were seeking two males, ages 16 to 20, who robbed the Sunoco station in the 11700 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum of money. The pair, one armed with a handgun, entered the station office about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and ordered an attendant to open a safe and give them the contents.

Burglary -- Cash and clothing - all valued at $1,005 - were stolen between Sunday and Tuesday from an apartment in the first block of Richmar Road. Entry was through a front window.
