On Thursday, October 18, 2007, JAMES NICHOLAS, 78, of Hampstead and formerly of Middle River, died at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Beloved husband of Betty L. (nee Pugh) Giordano; loving son of Elsie (nee Drake) Stokey of Lansing, MI and the late John Stokey; loving father of Gary J. and Barbara F. Giordano of Frederick and Deborah L. and Brian Moore of Hampstead; devoted grandfather of Nathan J. Giordano, Allise E. Giordano, Jeffrey A. Giordano, Cole B. Moore and Kaitlin M. Moore; dear great-grandfather of Isabelle L., Nicholas J. and Anthony W. Giordano. He was a US Army veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. He had been a truck driver for Cowan Transport and was a former member of the VFW. A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, October 27, at Essex United Methodist Church, 524 Maryland Ave., Essex. Inurnment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD. 21157. Arrangements by Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD.
