Daisy Adele Watkins, a homemaker and Sunday school teacher, died of Alzheimer's disease complications Saturday at the Barton House in Nashville, Tenn., where she had been living for the past five years. She was 83 and a former Kingsville and Joppatowne resident.

Born Daisy Adele Lehman in Baltimore and raised on Aisquith Street, she attended city public schools.

In 1944 she married Glenn A. Watkins Jr., who was an Army Air Corps pilot during World War II, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She later assisted him in his architectural practice.

She was a member of Fork United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school.

"She was a devoted wife and mother," said her daughter, Karen Webner of Bel Air. "She loved life and loved people. She always had a smile on her face."

Services are private.

Survivors include two other daughters, Barbara Aiken of Cape Coral, Fla., and Kimberly Ford of Brentwood, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
