MARIE E. DREISCH passed away peacefully at Foulk Manor South early Sunday Morning, September 16, 2007. She was 93. Marie was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She attended the St. Wenceslaus School. She held several clerical positions before joining American Cooperage, Inc. in the Accounting Department where she was employed for 35 years. In 1966, she moved from East Baltimore to Wilson Point Road, Middle River, MD; her family's summer home built by her father in 1923. She resided there for 30 years. She delighted in having family and friends "come down the shore" for a game of pinochle, crab soup and crabs caught off her own pier. She won several Pinochle Tournaments at the Wilson Point Men's Club where she was a member. She was a former member of the Baltimore Yacht Club and a member Our Lady of Carmel Catholic Church. She enjoyed extended winter stays at The Runaway Bay Beach Club in Antigua. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Phillips Wigton of Wilmington, DE (husband John) and grandson, John Henry Wigton V. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to caregivers at Arden Courts, Manor Care's Assisted Living Facility for Alzheimer Patients, for their loving care and support during her four year residency. A reception will be held at Carson's Creekside, 1110 Beach Drive, Middle River, MD 21220 on October 16, 2007 at 12PM. Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of Flowers the family requests that donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 2, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
