Bulle Rock project wins builders award

The Land Development Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland recently named the Residences at Bulle Rock as Project of the Year at the Community Development Awards of Excellence program.

The awards program recognizes development professionals who provide superior development projects that are sensitive to the community and make appropriate use of the existing natural elements.

Developer MTBR and consultant/engineer MRA and GTA were named the winner in this category for the golf course community situated among historic landmarks.

The neighborhood and street names are symbolic of the historic property that was the home of America's first thoroughbred race horse. Design characteristics ensure that the 26 neighborhoods are separate yet interconnected.

More than 50 percent of the total community is preserved open space comprising wetlands, streams, steep slopes and contiguous forest stands. No homes front directly on the main throughways.
