Grace Baptist plans events

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach, 17 Somerset Road in Pasadena, will hold the following events this month:

Perfect Stranger will be shown during free movie night at 7 p.m. today.

The monthly Brotherhood Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall. Men and young men are encouraged to attend.

An estate-planning workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 21, led by Conrad Burch. Registration is required.

The annual Fall Festival will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Chesterfield Crystal Palace Pool off Tick Neck Road. There will be live entertainment, games, prizes, candy and other family-friendly events.

Fall Festival at St. James'

St. James' Church, 5757 Solomons Island Road, Lothian, will present its Fall Festival and Country Ham and Oyster Dinner from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The festival inclues a Moon Bounce, games, hot dogs, antique firetrucks and cars, crafts, plants, produce, preserves, baked goods, homemade ice cream and tours of the historic 1763 church.

Dinners cost $18.

Soup sale tomorrow at St. Andrew's

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold a weekly soup sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Soup will be sold by the quart or gallon. Preorders will be accepted.

St. John Lutheran to hold fundraiser

St. John Lutheran Church, 226 Washburn Ave., Brooklyn Park, will hold a beef dinner fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.

Live entertainment will be provided by John Norfolk.

Ruritan Club plans annual hymn sing

The Lothian Ruritan Club will hold its annual hymn sing at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 122 Bayard Road, Lothian.

Refreshments will be served after the performance.

Proceeds will benefit the Snacks for Heroes program at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda.

Vocalist to peform at Centenary

Centenary United Methodist Church, 6248 Shady Side Road in Shady Side, will present vocalist Rev. Gioele Settembrini in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday as part of the Polly Meese Fine Arts series.

Academy band to perform at church

St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 1120 Spa Road, Annapolis, will present the Naval Academy Band at 3 p.m. Sunday.

This concert will feature flute soloist Devona Schiller, accompanist Ariel Dechosa and conductor Joel L Borrelli-Boudreau.

The suggested donation is $8.

Jazz concert at St. Andrew's

The St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road in Edgewater. will continue its jazz concert series at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with saxophonist Charlie Gerard.

Tickets are $15 per concert or $80 for the season pass.

Annual blessing of animals Sunday

Epiphany Episcopal Church, 1414 Odenton Road, will hold its annual blessing of the animals at noon Sunday.

Revival to be held starting Sunday

The Annapolis Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will hold its citywide revival Sunday to Wednesday at First Christian Community Church, 1800 Apostle Johnson Way, Crownsville.

The theme will be "Time for a New Thing." Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Bishop Keith W. Reed Sr. and Bishop C. Anthony Muse Ark will speak.

Anchor Baptist to hold conference

Anchor Baptist Church, 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville, will hold its mission conference from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 14 .

Dinner theater at Glen Lutheran

Glen Lutheran Church, 106 Carroll Road in Glen Burnie, will hold a dinner theater at 6 p.m. Oct 12.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and The Goonies will be shown starting at 7:15.

Participants should take blankets and lawn chairs.

The menu includes chili, salad, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children older than 5 and free for younger children. Carryout is available.
