Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Burglary -- A .357 Magnum handgun was stolen Monday from a house in the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave. by someone who entered the dwelling through a window after cutting a screen.

Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 4000 block of Barrington Road in Forest Park through the front door Monday and removed nine watches, four pairs of sunglasses and two TVs.


Armed robbery -- Police were seeking three men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed La Portosina grocery store in the 3300 block of Annapolis Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:20 p.m. Saturday. Anyone with information is asked to call the district's detective unit at 410-396-2499.

Robbery -- Moments after two employees of Family Dollar in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. opened the store about 7:15 a.m. Monday and entered the office, a gunman arrived and forced them to give him the contents of a safe. The gunman escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.

Stolen vehicle -- A green four-door 1997 Nissan Altima with tags 2AH F25 was stolen Sunday in the 1400 block of W. Patapsco Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a green two-door 1996 Pontiac with tags GDF 549 that was stolen Sunday in the 4100 block of Audrey Ave.

Theft -- A laptop computer and a cell phone charger were stolen Sunday from a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu parked in the 900 block of W. Barre St.

Theft -- An iPod and a digital camera - all worth $500 - were stolen Sunday night from a 2002 Acura parked in the 1200 block of Marshall St.

Theft -- An iPod valued at $300 was stolen from a 2007 Subaru parked in the 1000 block of Covington St. on Saturday or Sunday by someone who forced the vehicle's rear door to enter.

Theft -- A 2006 Audi was parked in the 1200 block of Key Highway about 6 p.m. Saturday when someone entered the vehicle and stole an iPod valued at nearly $400.

Burglary -- More than 300 prescription pills and $300 in coins were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 1600 block of Jackson St. by someone who entered through a rear window.


Rape -- A woman was in her home in the 1300 block of Bonsal St. about 9 a.m. Monday when she noticed a man sitting on her front porch. After she told the man to leave, he entered the house, forced the woman onto a living room couch and raped her. After the attack, the man said he had to leave for work and left a phone number with the victim. The woman called police moments later. No arrest had been made.

Theft -- A Global Positioning System device valued at $600 was stolen Monday from a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle parked in the 100 block of N. Streeper St.

Assault/arrest -- A woman, 22, was seated in her parked car in the 3000 block of McElderry St. about 6 p.m. Monday when her teenage boyfriend pulled her from the vehicle and cut her on the right hand with a knife during a struggle. Arrested and charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault was a male, 16, from the 2900 block of McElderry St.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- A young male was riding a bike through a shopping center in the 7100 block of Darlington Drive about 4 a.m. Monday when he was observed on a security camera breaking into Ella's Beauty Supply through the front door. Taken from a cash register was an undisclosed sum of money. There was no arrest.


Burglary -- A laptop computer and a camcorder were stolen Sunday from an office in a house in the 8600 block of Oak Road. The burglary was reported Monday.


Robbery/kidnaping -- After a cab driver picked up a known passenger at Streamwood Drive and Old Court Road about 10 p.m. Sunday, the passenger pulled out a handgun and robbed the cabbie of his cell phone, his wallet and more than $100. The gunman then ordered the cabbie to drive him to Old Court and Liberty roads, where he ordered the driver to disrobe. Along with the cell phone, wallet and money, the gunman also stole the driver's clothing.

Burglary -- Someone entered a garage in the 7700 block of Park Heights Ave. between Sept. 28 and Monday and removed $9 from a car parked inside.

Burglary -- Jewelry valued at $2,500 was stolen Monday from an apartment in the first block of Virunga Court by someone who entered through the front door.


Burglary -- Eight pairs of shoes and 10 purses - all valued at $700 - were stolen Monday from a locker in the basement of an apartment building in the 100 block of Willow Bend Drive in Owings Mills.
