Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- A woman, 22, was walking in the 700 block of Park Ave. about 1 p.m. Friday when a man stole her purse containing a cell phone and a wallet containing cash and personal papers - all valued at $390.

Stolen vehicle -- A man was paying for fuel at a gas station in the 1000 block of W. North Ave. about 11:45 p.m. Friday and left the engine of his 1996 Buick Regal running when someone stole the car. The car had unknown temporary tags.

Burglary -- Someone entered a unit at Memorial Apartments in the 300 block of McMechen St. in Bolton Hill on Thursday and stole $400 and credit cards. There was no forced entry.


Assault -- Police were seeking the man who used a box cutter to slash another man, 24, about 2:30 a.m. Saturday while the victim walked in the 2300 block of Harford Ave. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Assault -- A male, 19, was arguing with several younger males in the 1800 block of N. Chester St. about 8 p.m. Friday when one of them struck him in the head with a brick. The victim was treated at the scene for a cut.

Stolen vehicle -- A 1998 Ford Explorer with tags 465M277 was stolen in the 2200 block of Aisquith St. between Sept. 16 and Sept. 20. The theft was reported Saturday.


Stolen vehicle -- A blue 1991 Honda Accord with Virginia tag KEF9375 was stolen Saturday in the 1400 block of S. Newkirk St.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a tan 1997 Dodge van with tags 779833M that was stolen over the weekend in the first block of N. Washington St.

Burglary -- Two go-carts and a gas can - all valued at $1,620 - were stolen from a shed in the 7400 block of Goetner Road between Friday and Saturday.


Arrests -- Three teenage boys were arrested Saturday when they attempted to steal property from a vacant house in the first block of Perry Falls Road. The teens were charged with attempted burglary and released into the custody of their parents.


Burglary -- A laptop computer, its carrying bag and a computer charger were stolen Saturday from a house in the 14000 block of Phoenix Road by someone who entered through a door.


Burglary -- Someone entered the rear yard of a house in the 5900 block of Johnson St. on Saturday morning and removed a tomato from a tomato plant. The tomato was valued at $3, police said.

Burgary -- Jewelry valued at nearly $2,600 was stolen from an apartment in the first block of McChurch Court between Sept. 25 and Saturday.


Robbery -- A woman, 43, was walking in the 900 block of Eastern Blvd. about 12:20 a.m. Saturday when a man struck her in the head with a brick and stole her purse containing money, personal property and a cell phone - all valued at $200.

Arson try/arrest -- A man with no fixed address was arrested Saturday morning outside his former girlfriend's home in the 1400 block of Maple Ave. and charged with attempting to set fire to her shed after dousing it with gasoline. Charged was Anthony Deelee, 57.
