MacPhail's 1st offseason with club creates uncertainty for staff

Executive vice president Mike Flanagan and vice president Jim Duquette were sitting in an office on the third floor of the warehouse on the morning of June 18 when another Orioles executive notified them of the report.

It stated that Andy MacPhail, who won two World Series titles as general manager of the Minnesota Twins and helped guide the Chicago Cubs to the brink of the World Series, was about to be named the Orioles' president of baseball operations.
