Corrections & Clarifications

September 28, 2007

An article Saturday on crime in the Belair-Edison community and another about a housing program in yesterday's editions led readers to conclude that Johns Hopkins Hospital was in charge of a new biotechnology park being built adjacent to its campus in East Baltimore. The revitalization project is run by East Baltimore Development Inc., of which Johns Hopkins is a partner.

A Page 1 photo caption in yesterday's editions of The Sun inaccurately described the living situation of Bronita Neal, a former resident of the Somerset Courts public housing complex. City housing officials said she has been relocated.

A photo caption in Wednesday's editions referred to "Mormon followers" of Warren S. Jeffs. The polygamous sect that Jeffs headed is a schismatic offshoot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Mormon Church repudiated polygamy in 1890 and for more than a century has excommunicated members who practice it.

The Sun regrets the errors.
