Dr. Crystal L. Clark has been named chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs for Bon Secours Baltimore Health System, where she is the primary liaison between administration and the medical staff. Before joining Bon Secours, Clark was a senior assistant vice president at the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, the city's public hospital system.

Dr. Dung Le has joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center as an instructor in oncology.

Dr. Maria Boradatcheva has joined the internal medicine practice of The Bose Medical Group at Mercy Medical Center's Burk Building. Boradatcheva completed her residency last year at Maryland General Hospital and is a member of the Russian-American Medical Association.

Dr. Phil Panzarella has been named chair of the department of medicine at Franklin Square Hospital Center. He has served as interim chair since January 2006 and has been a staff member since 1991. Panzarella holds an academic appointment to the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and chairs Franklin Square's Patient Advisory Committee.

Diane Boulay has joined St. Joseph Medical Center as the director of managed care. A graduate of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, she received a master's degree in public health from the University of Massachusetts. She worked previously at LifeBridge.

Laura Burhans, R.N., is the new director of cardiology services at The Heart Institute of St. Joseph Medical Center.

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) has named Dr. Jon Shematek senior vice president and chief medical officer. Shematek, a board-certified pediatric cardiologist, will oversee all CareFirst medical affairs. Since December 2006, Shematek had filled the position on an interim basis.
