Cricket is a beautiful sport to watch, with its long, narrow pitch, its players dressed in white and the distinctive run-up and delivery of the bowler as he tries to hit the wicket.
The members of the Maryland Cricket Club, started in 1969, usually play one-day matches, which can last six hours or more. Their regular season is over, but they will play in the Delaware Cup at their home field in Timonium on Sunday and Oct. 7.
