Morgan State (1-2) @ Hampton (2-0)

Time -- 7:30

Site -- Armstrong Stadium, Hampton, Va.

Radio -- 88.9 FM

Outlook -- Morgan State could overcome a lot of misery from losses the past two weeks by beating the Pirates, the No. 13-ranked Football Championship Subdivision team in the nation. The Bears didn't look last week as if they were ready to open their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference season. They committed 15 penalties for 145 yards and turned the ball over three times, including a fumble on the Morgan 3-yard line in the fourth quarter that gave Winston-Salem State an easy touchdown in a 19-17 victory. Senior RB Chad Simpson committed the fumble, taking some of the glitter off his career-high 221-yard effort. Hampton will feature the passing of T.J. Mitchell, who is ranked 17th in the nation in pass efficiency, and has thrown for 520 yards and six touchdowns in two games. Mitchell is also a threat to run for extra yardage.
