Sarah Cole
Bryn Mawr, field hockey
The senior forward scored three game-winning goals against ranked teams last week, as the defending Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference champions improved to 6-0. Cole scored winning goals against No. 15 Severn (1-0), No. 13 Century (2-0) and then-No. 7 Archbishop Spalding (2-1). She also had an assist at Century. For the season, she has four goals and one assist. A field hockey player since the seventh grade, Cole played in the U.S. Field Hockey Association's Olympic-development style Futures Program in her freshman and sophomore years. She plays for Club Applebee and will go to the USFHA's Hockey Festival in California on Thanksgiving weekend for the second straight year. Also a lacrosse player for the Mawrtians, Cole plays for the Baltimore Lacrosse Club. Undecided on which sport to play in college, she went to field hockey camps at Wake Forest and Princeton and lacrosse camp at Duke over the summer. Cole is a B student who is also involved in the school's athletic association and outdoor club.
